FALL DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM

Jackals Developmental Program is designed for players who have previous experience with field hockey and are looking to enhance their skills through intensive practices with Club level coaches. This program will work to address the current field hockey development gap that exists in the County between rec-level training and club level skills.

This 10-week program will push players to take their game to the next level through an intensive focus on stick skills, field awareness and IQ, fitness and agility. 
All sessions will be coached by experienced Club and HS coaches.   

September 17-November19
Sessions will be held at Stone Ridge.
All participants will be given a pinnie to wear for practices and games.

FALL CLINICS

Goalkeeping Clinic, Defensive Clinic, & Goal Scoring Clinic
2-day sessions 

Jackals Field Hockey clinics are offering skill and positional specific field hockey clinics for ages 5-18, PK-12 grades. Clinics are open to all skill and experience levels. Jackals provides position specialized coaches for each skill specific clinic, and all sessions will take place at Stone Ridge field in Bethesda.
 

GOAL SCORING

Goal scoring is an attitude! Players will learn and improve upon dodging, shot selection, reading the defense, and attacking creativity. Players will come out the clinic confident to step up on their team to become playmakers on the field this fall!

DEFENSIVE CLINIC

This clinic is open to players of all positions looking to improve their defensive fundamentals. Players will learn defensive technical and tactical skills. Players will improve their tackling skills, interceptions, defensive footwork, game IQ, and presence!

GOALKEEPING CLINIC WITH BELGIAN GOALKEEPING SPECIALIST

This ELITE clinic will be coached by Belgian goalkeeping specialist, Lena Vandam. Players will undergo a goalie specific training program and build on fundamentals as well as finetune technical and tactical skills. Instruction includes footwork, ariel balls, slides, dives, one on ones, strokes, film analysis, communication, and more.

INTRODUCTORY CLINICS

These clinics are the perfect place to help your child develop the necessary skills to learn the game. Our goal is to develop a lifelong love of field hockey while building your daughter’s skills and confidence. We support each player at their current level of play (beginners welcome!) and provide opportunities to increase their individual skills through drills and games.
